New Land Owner

Deer ladies and gents. I'm a new landowner and my name is Rich. Just purchased a foreclosed 5.5 acre "farm" in Georgia. At last my horses and I can now reside in the same location.
Since Im new to this little horse farm and money is tight as for everyone, and Im sure you are aware a foreclosed property will have its faults and repairs to be made.
I'm looking for the right sized tractor and what would be the most needed equipment to attach. example, Brush Hog, Rake, Manure Spreader, post hole digger. Is that it or do you farmers suggest different?

Also trying to gauge what total cost will be.

Congrats on the purchase! I too will becoming a land owner and have been searching this site for a few months gaining invaluable information and advice from the members. Use the search option and look for what tasks you think you will be doing and there will be many threads discussing how to and what equipement is needed. If you are looking for a detailed response, the members would need to know what you plan on doing on the land and they can give you advice on what size tractor and implements you will need. Lived in northern Georgia for a few years. Nice place. Welcome.

You may find a lot of good info here on TBN, but also among those who live near your place. Hang out at a Tractor Supply or farmer's co-op or something to meet some folks who have done what you are trying to do. Most folks are quite friendly and willing to share. They can give you info on their equipment, and also who the best local tractor dealers are. Regardless of brand, tractor dealers are key to your success as you get started.
