Ray:

My 5030 is 2 years old, so the might have added a mid-pto since my manual came out......I could buy a lot of shop brooms for one of those. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Daryl,
You sure could! I have found a smaller model used with low hours for quite a lot less. I think it was originally designed for the L10 series but should work. Here's a pic. You can't see the brushes but they're only asking $800.

Frank,
I have two local dealers, neither have one so I'll be ordering this week. I have no idea how long to get one here but the wait will seem forever I'm sure.

Guess mine will be used for field work only also, 40 acre truck garden. fenced to keep the deer out, so deer should not be a problem. Do not have the area to get the speed up, so hopefully the lights will do fine.

With the quick attach, the bucket will be dropped when not needed, but will leave the loader on, have not take the loader off the NH in six years.

Now I know what those two wires are for on the left hand side, figured that is what they were there for, but now I know. Thanks.

When I ordered mine, it took about three weeks to get here, another week for most of the bolt ons, and still waiting for the rear wiper.

Dumbdog:

I remember when I got my 5030. My dealer drove down to Columbus, Ohio and picked it up, put it together in the shop and delivered it to the farm in 4 days. I think I have one of the first manufactured. It has a low serial number....maybe it will become a collectors item (sic) like a 3020 JD. Mine came with a wiper front and rear. I don't like the front wiper. It should be mounted on top of the windshield. If you are 4 feet tall it would work (Japanese), but I have to scrunch down to look out the wiped area. I though about a longer wiper but it already swings clear across the glass. I did put a longer one on back however. I like the heated grid in the rear glass. Comes in handy when blowing snow.

My biggest peeve is the fact that the tractor comes with no external plugs for implements, that is, there is no pigtail to hook up the required FMVSS lights that are on all implements. I had to make brackets and wire a 7 way connector on the back so I could plug in my implements....I do drive on the road and after dark coming and going to my fields. I also had to put a bracket on the back to mount the control plug for the round bailer and the Harvest Tech proprionic acid applicator.

Ag tractors as a rule all come with the required FMVSS plug, at least. I looked at a Kubota 102SA and it didn't have any plugs either. The 102 is definitely an Ag tractor.
