2008 Kubota L3400
I had my new to me (2008 with 65 hours) Kubota L3400 delivered to my 40 acres on the 10th. I had a great 12 days getting it broken in. I had to pull out trees, knock down trees, and use my back scraper to make a drive about 1/4 mile long. I'm impressed.
I got a lot of hints beforehand about pulling out trees from reading on the forum here. On the next to the last day I thought it would be a good idea to show my wife how to drive it in case something happened. Well I got delegated to the chainsaw for the rest of the day, as she didn't want to give it up. Go figure. I hope it wears off or I'm going to have to get me another one!

Just get another! She looks too happy to take her off of it.

What a rookie mistake!?!?! You should have put the range selector in Neutral and messed up some of the safety switches... or installed a remote cut off. That way you can tell her it's your turn!!!

Yeah, a rookie mistake for sure. But I'm learning.

Boy, you guys that have your wife drive your tractors sure have guts. There's no way I'd let my wife drive my machine - way too many buttons and levers to contend with. She'd knock the house down by accident for sure. Letting my teen kids operate it would be almost as crazy.

Nice looking machine, BTW. I wish mine was that shiny.

I think there is a typo or somethi9ng here, should read, "I'm going to 'get' to get me another one."

There simply is no such thing as too many tractors or too much equipment.:licking:

Well it's a lot easier than flying a Piper, and I make her take control for a little while whenever we go flying. So I figured the tractor was a piece of cake.

Thanks - it is pretty shiny.

My wife likes to drive our machine. She operates it safely, and she shoots a .45 too. I can trust her with things.

I read your post to my wife, and here is what she said. "obiously he has never worked a modern washer, dishwasher, sewing machine, food processor etc.. buttons and levers my arse"

My wife hasn't asked about driving the tractor yet but my son has. I let him sit on my lap and steer. He loves it!

My wife likes to use the tractor, but mostly she'll ask me to do it... If I'm busy, I just tell her to use it.

She even wanted her own chainsaw. I cut down 6 trees for mushrooms, she said that she'll cut them up and "let me" carry the logs out to the truck!?!?!
