Well, I dropped off the old 2017 L3901 and picked up the 2022 l3902hst 50th anniversary edition today.

It appears Kubota is going to offer a new 2023 L2502 which will offer many of the same features and amenities as the L3302 / L3902. Since I really like the upgrades on the L 02 tractors, I’m interested to see the pricing on the L2502.

I’ll likely head down to my dealer in the next couple weeks to let them know I’m interested in seeing one when they have one available.

Doubtful. Tractors have models not years. There won't be a 2023 L2502. If anything there would be a L2503 or something. The economy Ls just went from the 01 series to the 02 series a couple years ago. So it's unlikely they would jump another model so quickly.

Looks like it's the same updated look and updates that the other Lxx02's got.

Go to 8:42 in Messick's Equipment video for the new 2023 L2502 tractor info.

Not sure on the L2503. I will say I do find it odd they updated all emissions models to the 02 series though. I got the impression they were going to kill off the L2501 or at least get into a position to do so if emission requirements changed.

Anyways, I think the B50 series was killed because of the problematic B3350. Rather than owning up to the mistake, they discontinued the model, but kept the platform going under a different model name and a few cosmetic updates with a different engine on the 33 horse. Good dealers either bought the old B back or refused to sell new ones.

My 2016 HST L-series 2501 is perfect! I run a 5ft flail mowing 4-5 acres and sometimes 10, can't see trading it off just for a couple expensive upgrades. If anything, and because of having more ground to mow I would buy another second tractor, a used L3901 or, a 4701 and just for their increase in pto output and for a larger flail I have setting here that I picked up very cheap last fall at a farm sale and then rebuilt to like new condition. I simply love field mowing with my tractor finding it both comfortable and very easy on fuel.
