Kubota M5140 4x4 tractor, Bobcat 331G excavator, BCS 749 walk behind
My wife and I are young farm starters. We bought 150 overgrown acres in the mountains about a year and a half ago. We've been saving up to get our tractor since that time and finally this last week got a Kubota M5140 with front end loader and a 6' rotary cutter :). I've lurked on the website looking for info as I saved money for the eventual purchase. I figured it was time to go ahead and become a member. Now that I'm using it and learning more about it I see newb questions about maintenance and attachments are coming from me soon.

No photos yet, I haven't had much daylight to play with it after work yet. I keep doing little projects after day job. Saturday though is going to be awesome. Photos then.

I got the Synchro shift.

Thanks, my left leg wore out after years of use and I got a hydraulic shuttle shift when my old tractor went toes up; enjoy your new tractor.

Here she is on top of one of my hills after I just finished bushogging. I have never seen this hill completely cleared of blackberry bushes and small trees before. I'm loving this thing.

I read the tacked threads about rollovers. Watching those videos is sobering but a good thing to see. I wont be mowing side to side on hills anytime soon.

Could always widen the rears some, looks like at narrowest setting.

That is just a good looking tractor that I believe is fuel efficient and yet has sufficient power to do most anything a small farm will need. Great choice.
