Kubota B7100HST
Hi everyone,
I'm new to TBN. I've been watching the Kubota forum for maybe a couple of months researching and studying before I " pulled the trigger," trying to talk myself out of spending so much for a 'lawnmower." I think I was really justifying or convincing myself that it made sense to purchase the b3000 over the other models I was considering. I had a B7100HSD I purchased in 92', and like I told my wife, "if I would have bought a big enough tractor then, I wouldn't be buying another one now." I asked it to do too much for such a little tractor.
I first saw Kubota's little cab tractor when it first came out in 05', I think. I took a test drive and knew I had to have one. I have been researching them ever since. Mine was delivered last Wednesday. I put 2 hrs on it since. I bought a FEL, MMM, 5' bush hog, and 6' rear blade. Once again I assured my wife this is my last tractor and it will last me till I die.
I have enjoyed your posts and appreciate all the info everyone has shared. I look forward to sharing my experience with my toy and brainstorming problems. I will post pics once I figure it out.
Brian

Looks just like my 2009 B3030. So far it's been a great little tractor. A few minor modifications here and there like adding LED signal/hazard lights, an outdoor thermometer and a stereo but that's half the fun!
One thing I'm really glad that I spent the money on was a universal skid steer quick attach. It sure is nice to drop the bucket and attach the forks with the pull of 2 levers.

Congratulations!! Great looking machine and the Bs are great workers with just a bit of fuel and an occassional fluids/filters change.
I know how it feels to buy that last final for a life time Kubota. I've done it 13 times.:) I mean really, really, really, really, really these that I now have are it!! Done....finished....only return to Barlows to visit and get fluids and filters..........Wonder if there'll be much changes this year????:) The B2320 is geared instead of HST and I don't care much for that.:( And it doesn't have a FEL??:(
One of them (F2680) I've had for 42 months and got paid off this month!!:D
Hmmm, that's $314 a month like extra found money now.:)

JohnThomas, a few weeks ago I saw a Barlows truck up near my neighborhood in Jarrettsville, Maryland. I was just leaving the hardware store but couldn't catch up to the truck. Barlows sure does get around. I'm sure if I would have talked to the driver and mentioned your name he would have known you, ha! Stanley

Hi everyone,

Once again I assured my wife this is my last tractor and it will last me till I die.

I'm on my 2nd B. Like you I just started out wanting a lawn mower that could zip over the yard and give me time to wet my hook. My wife was very understanding on the purchase of the B3200 as she realizes this is a tool that allows me to do projects that she comes up with that I never would attempt before that wonderful device called a FEL.

Congrats.

They do get around. One (Marvin) of their over the road drivers would know who your talking about since he has delivered to me a couple of times and I've talked to him at the "store". I think they have more than one long haul delivery driver so I don't know all of them. Usually Steve Barlow delivers mine or Jamie, he just works local since he drives a school bus. They won't let Gary (parts man) off the lot, they figure he won't come back, I guess or maybe he's to valuable to leave the "store".:)

I believe many of us started from pretty similiar reasoning. I bought my first BX2200, MMM, FEL to be my life time mower with a high priced wheelbarrow on the front. That's been around 9 years ago. I to do many projects that I'd never have done or had anyone do for me if I didn't have my "Oranges".:)
Life is short guys/gals and the money stays here when you leave for the Government to take first then for the Kids to "spend as they see fit" or that "Bango player" to tell your widow that he sure is glad you left the money so he can buy a Kubota so he won't have to break his back or wear "hisself" out doing all that heavy work and lifting. Maybe even doing all those projects around the house that "she" wanted done before that her "sorry" previous husband wouldn't do for her. Since he won't have to keep working at that public job that was taking so much of his time that he just quit since his new woman has money and wants him around the house more.:D

Our machinations and manipulations of the 'wife-to-be-convinced' tends to border on the feminine 'style of relating' (control through pressure). But as soon as the tractor arrives, we leave the feminine behind.

Now, some guys on here have wives that love the tractor as much as they do. As for me, it's my grandson (15 months). He's into more than me....
