Unless you have been a dealer don't go there. Dealers can and will get burned by manufacturers over warranty and repairs. Some companies require all warranty work to be pre-approved with an authorization number and in some cases the dealer will get warranty claim denied after authorization.

Accusing the Dealer of malfeasance implies they purposely intended to deliver a new tractor with a leaking connector.

Possible - but highly unlikely...

I paid Messick's to add factory rear remotes to my tractor. Got home with a puddle of hydraulic fluid on the gooseneck deck.

Brand new tractor leaking...sound familiar?

Tried to resolve the leak with no joy. Messick's found a bad O-Ring after I took it back in, and they replaced all the others in the new remote valve assembly while they were in there.

Had I gone into the discussion emotionally HOT, or accusing them of "malfeasance", do you think they would have gone the extra mile?

In spite of a mechanic screwing up an O-Ring install, I will continue to drive past three other Kubota dealerships to do business with Messick's because of their actions after the error to make it right.

Sure I wish it hadn't happened, but it did. We can only control how we positively respond (rather than react) to an event.

I choose to believe the vast majority of people are trying to do what is right and honorable in spite of a few individuals trying to instigate social strife.

Little far for me to drive, like 700 miles....lol My local Kubota dealer is just as good 'Carleton Farm Supply, Carleton, Michigan. Great dealership, fantastic service at reasonable prices and no return visits because they 'forgot' to do something....

Tighten up the fitting and carry on.

My new tractor needed hydraulic fittings tightened, coolant hoses tightened, one coolant hose replaced, and was missing two quarts of fluid in the front axle.
