Tractor
John Deere X-758
Last summer I bought a 2016 X-758 60 inch deck and the Three Bag Vac System . I works well and the Tractor does well with the mower . I now have 50 hours on the unit and zero problems at all until the last 10 days .

When using the Vac the Tractor works a lot harder and uses a lot more fuel . Two weeks ago half way into mowing and using the Vac the tractor tried to get over heated . It was a warm day and everything was clean no block air flow . To day it did almost the same thing just not as bad weather in the upper 70,s air screen clean just a lot of dust . I know it is working harder but really it should not over heat this easy .

If you have a good leaf blower then blow backwards from under the hood and see if you get a bunch of chaff out. I do this as well as the screen that slides out every 8 hours of use. I watch the outboard screens and wipe them off as needed. With the same blower I have not noticed much of a load increase when using it.

I do clean out the radiator both with air and water I never get much if anything .
This Tractor has 52 hours and has been cleaned (Radiator) after every mowing .

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "it tried to overheat".

Did a high temp alarm come on or what?

Have your dealer check DTAC solution 55308.

The first time the PTO kicked out and I seen it was over heating .
Today I seen the temp up near the top and let it set for any hour to cool .
I did blow the Radiator out with air and it did help .
Really I do not see a good reason for this unless the Radiator or water pump it not working well .

Get it checked out, it's still under warranty. Beyond that, running the deck and powerflo is a big load on the machine. The powerflo stirs up a lot of dirt, and that dirt combines with clippings blowing around when you are dumping the bags to plug up your screens and cause an overheat.

The screens never get that bad yesterday when the temp got to heading up I pulled the screen out and it was 95% clean .

Take it in in for service, either bad thermostat, water pump, coolant or a restricted flow (thermostat). Also have them check the radiator cap (pressurized sealed system)
