"keep my passions and opinions to myself" hmmmmmm, well when you guys do that also I will follow in kind and I guess we won't need TBN anymore except to argue about God and killing animals with fish hooks. Sorry bigpete, you are my bud, but no thanks, I cannot comply with your request.
That ranking is my ranking, you guys rank as you wish, I may move the JD to number one if it proves out as good as it looks.
The Cub Cadet--way to much plastic, you can rationalize some plastic here and there but there are limits and some companies have gone beyond them. Please, JD, Kubota, New Holland et al, can y'all please use metal for the floorboards, engine cowls and hoods. Plastic fenders may be nice if they can take a hit and spring back--but a plastic floorboard--no way. It is simply a cost cutting measure---please guys METAL-STEEL-even Aluminum--no plastic floorboards.
Also, bigpete, how do you know I have not seen a 2210 (?), we have farm shows here in Kansaw too. Hell, everyone here has a tractor, some are just for lawn ornamentation.
I am afraid my new friend down the road is correct--his 8N will still be going when all the plastic on my Kubotas, and your JD and that totally plastic Cub Cadet are long gone. We all gonna look kinda funny in 30 years on a tractor with nothing but wheels and an engine left, the rest recycled into panty hose. J
