New JD L111

I haven't even seen one yet. I was planning a trip to my dealer soon for parts and thought I'd check it out then. Unless I get to Home Depot first. I don't think there is anything radically different from the L110 except the engine.

Won't be getting the L111 after all. Made a heck of a deal to trade for a L118 today. I wish the grass was green instead of covered with ice. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Test drove one around the parking lot at the Home Depot yesterday. They were offering a free bumper and a free Homelite gas trimmer with purchase of the L111. Price was $1799.99 - they also had zero percent for 12 months if you purchased on the Home Depot Credit card. I was very tempted. It is very smooth and powerful. I like it very much. MAy go back and get one this week.

You might want to check the local JD dealer. They may have it for the same price and your money goes to the local business rather than the big box.

I'm not so sure of the Vangard designation on the L series Brigg's engines. The L118 and L120 last year were NOT Vangard, and this year they show the same motor in the L111, L118 and L120. Without looking, I think they are Briggs Intek engines.. not Vangard. There seems to be a big difference in these motors.
They used to put the Vangard in the GT235 and LX288, but now Deere has moved those models into Kawi's.

Dutch445, you are correct. They are Intek. Sorry. At any rate they are good machines. I didn't mean to misinform anyone. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The L111 is listed as 20 HP Intek, L118 at 22 HP Intek, L120 at 22 HP Intek.
