new in NC

Hello, my name is James. I came from a farm in Iowa. I have been away from the farm for 16 yrs and miss it greatly! I recently purchased my first home in North Carolina after my job transferred there. my home came with an acre so I am here looking for something to maintain it.
I look forward to interacting with everyone on here and lending my knowlege where it can help.

I live near Princeton NC which is about 2 hrs SE of Raleigh.

James - Welcome to TBN and welcome to NC! You will really enjoy the area, and you will love being on TBN! Only thing I might add is if it is taking you 2 hours to get to Raleigh from Princeton, you are definitely taking the wrong route... under an hour at most... you will learn your way around quickly! OK on your location. Consider going to the "My Home" section and adding that information (either Princeton or even "coastal plain"). It lets people know what sort of terrain your in and that can help if they are offering ideas on things you are doing.
