As a suggestion. You should use bolts instead of rivets. They are stronger than the rivets and much more easy to replace when needed.

If he goes to bolts he will have to replace the hold down brackets with high arch ones. I'm betting they wont clear and will hit the nuts.

Does anyone know the best way to replace/remove the "flush" rivets" ??...Not the round head but the flush ones. Ive never dealt with this type and my new mower has them. I wonder if the Johnson Sickle Machine in the video can do the flush rivets too? I showed round head in the vid. Not sure if that machine can make them flush.

Cheaper to buy the whole bar with all the sections already attached if you need to replace all of them and you value your time...

Otherwise, grind off rivets, punch them out. Buy bolts and new sections and get to cutting.

Most importantly, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGERS OUT OF THE CUTTING AREA. MANY AN OLD TIMER MISSING A FINGER OR THUMB DUE TO THESE CONTRAPTIONS...
