new holland tc29d
Hello everyone. just found your site and it looks very interesting. I have a new holland tc 29d that is giving me a little bit of squealing when I push in the clutch. I feel its a bearing but Im not sure. Does anyone know of any type of adjustment that doesnt require me to split the tractor in half?

Welcome aboard. Perhaps you will get better results by posting your question in the "New Holland" forum here on TBN. Good Luck.

Welcome to TBN; sounds like a throw out bearing, but your tractor is too new to have that. Your manual should have information on proper adjustment.

Welcome fellow TC29D owner. I think that video is wrong because the trans makes the noise when the clutch is out. A bad throwout bearing usually makes noise when the clutch is depressed.
Post your problem in the New Holland section, Ithink you'll get help.

Thank you for the info. The clutch does make the noise when the clutch is engaged. Im Curious about the condition of the clutch? Could the throw out bearing be bad and the clutch itself still be good?

Yes the clutch can be fine but the throw out bearing can get excessively worn from too small of pedal free play by riding on the clutch fingers. It should only touch the clutch fingers when the pedal is depressed. If it rubs long enough it can put excessive wear on the cluth fingers, too. Look in your owners manual for "clutch free play adjustment". It's no hard to do.

Thank you for that info. I will be pulling this apart next weekend.

Before you pull it apart, check the clutch pedal free play. It may save you some effort. It's adjustable from out side the bell housing
