TractorByNet experts,

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on some big red iron in the form of an older International 986 or larger. No loader, 2 wheel drive.

Recently, a T4.75 with 3000+ hours in really good shape became available. It has a loader and 4wd, and its about 10K more than the IH986, but obviously much more tractor having both 4wd and a loader.

Any thoughts on a T4.75 with that sort of hour count?

I plan to run a small discbine(Gehl 9'), a relatively small round baler (Vermeer Rebel) and likely a New Holland 570 size square baler. I wanted 100+ hp, but I think realistically, 75 is enough for what I am planning to do. I also have a 45 hp JD 4044R with a loader. This would allow me to rake/bale and/or cut at the same time, as well as use both tractors to pick up and load or wrap round bales. I can also imagine running a 10 or 12' brush hog eventually.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Should have mentioned, the IH986's are in the 12k to 14k price range with 4000+ hours, and the NH T4.75 is priced at 26K I believe with 3000+ hours.
