New Guy...B6100E Aftermarket Gauge Install Qs..

I recently aquired a B6100E with a 60" finish cut mower. The old girl needed some cylinder head work and is in the process of re-assembly at the moment with all new top end gaskets.

I want to add a water temperature and oil pressure gauge. I've located the oil pressure port, but can't seem to find a location to tap into the cooling system. Has anyone performed this task in the past and can you provide any information?

Also, is the oil pressure port a metric pipe thread, or a standard 1/8" NPT like most other things?

Also, my father owns a B7200HST and it has a tachometer in the dash, along with an hourmeter. Mine has a hole in the dash panel for a 2 1/16" gauge, but the gauge itself isn't there. It just has a black plug. Was a tachometer not standard on the B6100E?

Probably just an hour meter like the b7100. I would like to add some gauges as well so I'll be following your thread

I owned a B6100E. That hole is for the optional hourmeter, no tach ever. Any 12v hourmeter will work. I had some surplus meters around at the time I bought mine and put one in my Kubota. Worked OK.

robj sent me a link to install temp gauge,its on this forum worked great,and the gauge does too
