BTW - is that joystick you bought made for a tractor or did you re-purpose it?

It was just a universal stick. I took the rubber knob off and threaded the shaft to thread the joystick on.

Well,
I am finally moving forward on my grapple build. See attached pictures.
I have one of the quick attach plates tacked together and will check for fit this afternoon.
Then tomorrow I plan on getting it all welded up.
Just waiting for the third function kit to come in along with my cylinder.
Then once it is on my tractor I will measure up for my hoses.

Looks like alot of welding ahead of you.

I still think you would have benefited from heavier round pipe. But time will tell.

Here is the final design, in checking out other builds - even with the 2" schedule 40 pipe for the cross members, having two should make it more than strong enough.
We will see.

I think heavier pipe was needed.

Several people have mentioned that, the tines are 3/8", i couldn't get any heavier pipe very easily,
I will put it together and try pulling a stump up with it and see how it handles it, i do have two pipes in my design instead of just one like most designs I have seen so we will see if that makes any difference.
