I have a 2003 L4310 tractor and just purchased a Kubota L682 loader for it. I have all of the hardware mounted and now am having trouble getting the main pins in.

(The bucket is not attached and I have no hydraulics as of yet.)

I have the loader on a hoist and have tried lifting and jerking the loader arms back and forth in most ways imaginable. The problem is the bottom pin seems to seat properly but the top main pins do not seem to want to back far enough to let me push a pin in.

Any thoughts...

You need to open the end of the hydraulic lines to allow the pistons to move in and out of the cylinders that will allow you the alignment you need. OR you can wait till you have hydraulic control to move the pistons in and out. Rither way when it is all attached you will want to completely cycle all directions to remove any air.

As to your other problems WD40 is not a penetrating fluid, it is also a very poor lubricant. Get something like PB blaster, soak things down and then try to turn the valve with the horizontal/vertical slot. You will turn it CLOCKWISE to vertical. Do not remove the snap ring, but tap on it lightly use a lot of PB blaster, it turns easily and has a definite STOP at both ends of it痴 turn.
As for the hydro fluid, you do not have your location listed, so I have no idea how cold it gets where your tractor is anyway for the small amount you will need to add for your new loader you can use Kubota UDT or any brand Hydro/Trans oil that states it meets or exceeds Kubota UDT you will not need but a gallon or so. Thanks for the info...

The cylinders move easily now. My procedure was to lift the very front of the loader with a hoist and the rams were extending.

I managed to get one pin (LH) in with moderate tapping with a hammer. The RH side will not line up ... it is about 3/8" out. It is almost as if the lower pin is not seating low enough to allow the upper pin to align.
Next step is to loosen the RH loader frame mounts to see if it gives me more play. I did leave all bolts loose as the manual states but tightened them all just before the loader went on. I assumed the loader would align easily, but maybe not.
Off to find some PB blaster...never heard of it but I am in Canada so who knows.
Thanks again Kenny...

Got the pins in finally. Had to remove the upper arm pin and the hydraulic ram pin from the quick mount bracket.

Even then had to use firm hammer force to get the main pins in.

Now for the hydraulic block screw..........
