New find!

i picked up this old 3 point post hole auger last week. i can't find a model number on it anywhere just has a JD logo on it?? It has a 2 part pto shaft with a spring like thing on the end? The shaft is square, I'm not sure if its the correct one or just something the guy had laying around. If anyone has any info or tips on using this please pass them on. Thanks ...Scott

Scott look a Deere parts online at the 31 or 31A posthole digger. Basic, but capable. Driveline most likely original as square shaft drivelines were common when the digger was made.

Good price! Make sure the cutting edges/teeth are to the edge of the auger diameter. Replace if not. It is imperative to keep the cutting edges in good shape.
