New electric snow machine.

A new snow machine, MTT-136, invented by Yvon Martel is all battery charged. It is strong enough to push a van. It is used with a trailer type sled. Quite interesting. I want one .:licking:

It could be used in the summer also as an ATV with a trailer. The inventor is looking for a manufacturer and investors.

Inventor? Inventor is something new. An electric motor and a battery pack IS NOT new or news. Anybody here know about energy storage density. Electric snowmobile, what a pathetic joke.

I think it's pretty dang cool! Now picture a similar model with a big snowmobile engine and a rubber tractor tread at a tractor pull! I'd pay to see that!

It's different and NOVEL enough to get some patents issued. I like it. Can see a few applications. Ice rescue in our state could be big…..can see some fire department needs. Moving fish houses? Recovery needs.

That seems very cool, however I would put a fender over the top of the tracks, because if you were thrown forward over the handlebars, you would most likely be pulled under, but I guess if that happens you are in trouble to begin with!

Yes, please do, because I see no relationship between the laws of physics and battery theory and whether or not something is cool looking or not. What the heck does one have to do with the other? I'll be waiting with arms crossed and toe tapping.

Canadian Armed forces is currently wasting $$$ on an electric stealth snowmobile . Didn't you know about it ?

Yes, I remember seeing that in the papers. Believe the contract was like, 1.5 or 2 million dollars. Was to be a stealthy sled to sneak up on Russian arctic installations.
Wonder what mileage batteries will do at -40 or -50 degrees, and how do yo recharge then at the arctic circle.(silently)

Best for the armed forces to use muted dog sleds and save taxpayers all them $$$$$

They could use dogs on a treadmill to run the generator to charge the sleds. Muted dogs of course.
