Drainage, drainage,drainage. Just figure out a way to keep the road dry and your road will be fine. Whether its with pipe,french drain, ditch or graded to drain. You can make bad material good by drying it out. You can make good material bad by letting it get wet. Keep it dry! Then you've won the battle.
