Tractor
CK30HST TLB, JD 350 'dozer
...saw orange tractors parked at a horseshow in Grants Pass Oregon, drove in and looked. Kioti? Researched them for a week, liked the comparisons with other brands and prices, and lurked here awhile to read owners' comments.

Went back to the dealer Runaway Tractors, test drove what he had and wrote out a check. A week of using it and Woot! I LOVE this l'il CK30 FEL/BH. Maybe my imagination, it seems to have more strength than similar Ku*s i'd rented before. O'course that could be just because it's "mine" :) The positive smooth steering (maybe too easy), drives right over small logs no pause, and the shovels quickly dig into this hard rocky soil. Doesn't drink much fuel.

Thanks tbn forum, you helped get me the right tractor for the $$.

Welcome, and congratulations on your new Kioti. I've only had mine a few weeks and I'm also loving it.

Welcome to the Pack! I have the same combination and I concur with your assessment. It is one working animal! Enjoy! :)

Welcome to the Pack!

Post some pictures when you can. You'll never stop finding projects to do. I look for reasons to hop on my CK20.

Welcome to the pa..... yeah, OK they already said that. Nice to have another CK30 owner here, glad to hear you're satisfied with your new toy. 10+ months, just shy of 100 hrs, not an unsatisfied minute yet!! :) Pictures are required of all new members/owners, ante up.

Welcome Rex. Hope you have many enjoyable years with your 30. We do like pics and they have been mighty scarce of late!

Thanks for the welcome, this is quite the good machine for the brief time i've used it, and am looking forward to years 'n years of use.

Dmace and WillieKioti *grin* those are heavy loads you're carrying...I'm even more pleased with the buy now, since these stinkin' Alder trees are always falling down in the woods.

Post pictures? I love pictures! (Relatives *sigh* when I pull out the camera lol.) Here's a couple, more as more Kioti work is done. It needed pads, so I stuck some cut 4" channel iron on the feet.

Too funny, does U-haul know you used their car hauler to bring home a 5000 lb tractor? It took me quite a while to find a rental place that had actual equipment trailers that left it up to me to decide what to put on them.

You got the nice loader and everything, looking good.

No they don't, Shhhh...:p

I was 'passing through' town and had trouble finding a lo-boy for rent too, but that car-carrier hauled the tractor real well behind a loaded 1 ton truck, Uhaul should think about allowing it for small tractors too.

Where'd you get your toothbar Highbeam, if it was a bolt on?

Very Nice!
I am surprised the backhoe didn't come with feet.

Mine came with some good sized shoes but that backhoe will still pull the tractor around.

Thanks, so far they're holding in the dirt well when digging out an old cedar stump, and easy to make. Overall each one is 12 inches square. If I get dragged much forward and backward in the future, will weld short endcaps onto the channel iron. But so far so good :)

EDit: That is one nice-looking tractor 'n trailer you have there, love that cab! The dirt pads that came with it look exclnt, you must be into heavy digging to drag the back end around, yeowch.

I have been pulling a ton of stumps out of my front yard. The "small" ones are hardwood (10-20" diameter) and the large ones (24"+) are pine. Of course they are all holding on to a massive boulder. I actually strapped the tractor to my truck so it wouldn't move while pulling an 18" oak stump.

Hooked to the Truck
The stump removed

Unfortunatley, the trailer is my dealers from when they delivered it. I need one bad.

The cab is the greatest thing ever. You feel more secure inside and I snowblow in below zero temps with a long sleeved shirt on. The heater inside is never on high. The front/rear wipers are great too!

Snowblowing

Now hurry up and get some working pictures. :D

My toothbar is from Markham. It has been an excellent investment.

Dmace your Kioti is certainly earning its keep around your place, that is a LOT of digging, bucking and hauling -- you'd make a mint going into business. Looked through your photo album, nice looking property and those're pretty snazzy racing machines too :)

That cab sounds well worth the investment there - I won't have to worry about snow removal thankfully, we're in a banana belt and some winters don't even get the white stuff falling. Falling trees and limbs is another matter, I ought to look at constructing some sort of canopy.

More pictures coming when this stinkin' little cedar stump finally lets loose. I hate stumps, the 'dozer didn't like this one either. Dug holes yesterday to plant a dozen new cedars in, but that's not worthy of pics.

Thanks for the info Highbeam, Markham has a good name and I'll look and see if the checkbook can bear it. I'm also reading these threads here on homemade toothbars, this forum is a wealth of information :)

Stump Cherry Broken!

Me 'n the Kioti are getting there...dug a dozen holes to plant new trees in to breakin the equipment (and me!) then dug out this nasty little cedar stump that's been buggin' me for years. Could only dig from one direction so it took 5 hours for a 12-incher sheesh. Just when I thought the last root was ripped another one is found lol.

.

Luv this Backhoe, the l'il 'dozer woulda made a hole twice as big.

Is that a Coyote standing next to your Kioti?

I've been digging this morning too, my first stumps with the new rig. 1 pine, 1 oak, and 1 poplar, got all 2 in about 2 hours.

It'd be a coyote if it was smarter, lol.

Maybe I've had too may beers, but doesn't 1 pine, 1 oak, and 1 poplar = got all 3?

You have a nice mix of trees there.
