No problemo!

It's just that now my BX23 looks so, uh, well, umm, er, ah, SQUARE. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks for the link.

I had a post under "buying" that I'd like to rehash here. I got my BX2200 in April 2003. Here it is 2 and 1/2 years later and two new generations (2230 and 2350) have already replaced it. Is this a typical lifecycle? Maybe competition in the subCUT market?

Hood is not metal.I for 1,don't like the looks of the new fel.It will lift more, which I like. They make a big deal about the added footroom.I have no problem with that on my 2230,and I wear size 13s.I have yet to see a price for the new model. If it is the same as the current model,I would buy it,if I were in the market.I would not pay more than a couple of hundred dollars more though. To me they could have done more to improve the BX line!

The reason they do this is because CNH tells all their dealers to use this as a selling point against Kubota. Its a strategic thing. The pricing is right about the same as the models they replaced - maybe a 200-300 increase at most. Now thats from normal pricing. There is an extra $1000 in discounts on the BX's that probably won't apply to the new models.

As regards the BX24, I agree about the plastic parts. I notice the discharge guard and the pulley covers on the MMM are also plastic.

The valve assemblies for both the 4-way and the BH are obviously different (much more compact).

The engine compartment is obviously smaller on front and top.

None of these are things I particularly prefer. Give me big, clunky assemblies I don't need watchmaker tools to work on.

I dropped a 12" stump on my hood the first week I owned my tractor (exactly the way little cartoon sticker on FEL warns you). Banged massive dent out with a branch off the same tree in 10 minutes. Wonder how a plastic hood would have performed.

I'm sure they all are great models, but may need a couple of years to work out new bugs. Maybe when I wear-out this '23. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I much prefer that appearance than cars trucks or tractors that look like foot balls basketballs and blimps on wheels.
