I got to thinking the other day, what if Kubota were to make a BX like tractor a little bigger than the current 2200. What kind of features would I like to see? So, here is my wishlist for a tractor that would basically replace the B7400/7500 in the product lineup.
The BX2400
24 hp at a lower PRM than the current BX series engines...say 2600 rpm
Same reverse flow setup for the engine fan
A little better gpm for the hydraulics
Availability of a rear hydralic valve $200-$300?
3 inches more ground clearance than the 1800/2200 resulting in a slightly raised 3ph
Availability of industrial tires
Position Control ('nuf said)
Valve for loader permanently mounted on the fender, with outlets available at the loader position and the rear of the tractor
A little longer and wider operator area for more comfort
Longer seat belt as standard equipment
Drink holder for those monster insulated mugs we all love to use
Heavy-Duty hydraulically dumped cart (for the new rear hydraulic valve) with a 1000 lb capacity costing about $400-$500
Hydraulic Top-Link availability
72" mid-mount mowing deck - fully suspended
Anyone care to add to this "pie-in-the-sky" wishlist?
