Isn't that ridiculous ? I tell ya..I am going to burn paper and branches in my burn barrel and they can come get me...I start with hot coals and cover the burn barrel with hardware cloth and it burns within an hour...WE are out in the country..let them come get me if that is all they have to do...this has reached the point of absurdity...It is getting cold here now and folks will be burning all kinds of paper and wood in their fireplaces...and that's OK ..so how is that different from me burning limbs and paper in my burn barrel...just disgusting. !

If you build a shed around your burn barrel, does it become a fireplace?

Still not too late to move to Idaho

I do think about it... really.

Thought WA would be the final stop... now, not so sure.

The property tax situation has me concerned.

The assessed value in WA has dropped three years in a row... still 20% higher than what I paid in 2005... but, at least the bite shouldn't be as bad.

Don't you all think the CA stuff will spread? It seems just about everything has... only a matter of time?

Yup, it spreads like a plague. You think that they would recognize what there doing to small business and medical costs by their blunders (and don't get me started about controlling the irrigation water to protect a smelt). Calif just doesn't care what their policies do to people. Washington and oregon are an extension of California (All are on the Left coast).....but here in Idaho, we are immune (so far).
