Mowing New blade system

looks interesting but a bit light weight. Do you think adding two blades to existing rough cutting disks would significantly add to the cutting / mulching capacity of 1850 mowers?

Is the hub on your deck set up for more blades? It does add more weight, so may slow the bld tip down a little bit. Might give a smother cut.

I have been cutting a lot of tall wet grass this week. The mower is not that great. Not sure why but the mower pushes over more than it cuts...

But it kills at doing brush...

Tall, wet grass is tough on any more. You might try going a little slower. Personally, I just remind myself to go slower and keep an eye/ear on the mower speed to keep the blades moving quickly.

If you were trying to mow somewhere else, I'd suggest waiting until the grass dries out, but I wouldn't want to break the "it rains all the time" mystique of the NW. :)

All the best,

Peter

Will this work on the brush cutter and the finish mower? What would you guys recommend? It looks like it might help with the brush cutter blades catching on each other. I don't know how you would install it on that.

A sharp blade also makes a significant difference when the grass is wet--particularly when compared to brush and woody plants.
