New Banner Ads

That is what I kept thinking too, but when I stay off of TBN, I do not consume the data. I think each ad consumes with each change of the ad. When it was stationary banners, I did not have the issue. My problem began with the motion and video ads. And even though weather here has had me confined, I purposely stayed off of TBN, and did not go thru another GB of data, as I had been doing every 3-4 days when spending a lot of time on here.

You may be correct, and it might be something else, but it still appears to be related to being on TBN, and until those ads began, I never used 5 GB in the 30 days.

I haven't noticed any big banner adds that cover half the page using Chrome and/or IE-11 for Windows 7 with only their standard built in add blockers.
The only adds are the small one at the top and the JD one along the right side that will enlarge if I happen to get my mouse pointer over it.

There is a little arrow to the right of the adds at the top or right click and choose properties.
It used to take you to a page where you can individually control Flash adds on a particular site.
Now it takes you to a newer one that analyzes the adds held by cookies in your browser and lets you control them. ( Try at your own risk )

I use my iPhone 95% of the time to view TBN. I have ZERO ads. None. Not one!! Not even the "good" revenue producing ads sanctioned by Muhammad.

The trade off is a tiny screen, and a sore index finger from hunt and peck typing.

I have not been around the forum long, but I spend a great deal of time here. Never had a pop up until today. Banner at bottom of screen, disappears when you scroll, reappears when you stop, blocks bottom, so now you didn't scroll up enough. Then flashes making it difficult to read thread.
I am usung i pad, add is from Blue Cross north east pa. I always clear cookies and history and it doesnt help. I am finding it difficult to continue reading posts and tired of hitting the x in the banner corner.
