new b2630, bh75 w/thumb

New b2630 with loader and hoe. Got the thumb welded on. Made by Sundown. T-1 hardened steel. It is mechanical, with 2 positions in addition to the storage position.

First of all, anyone with ANY question as to whether or not to get a thumb, GET IT!!! You will love it. If the backhoe will lift it, this thing will hold it. I have moved stumps with ease and placed rock in a new retaining wall just like I was setting it there by hand. In the 10 hours I've put on my new machine, I'd say it was worth it.

As for the 2630, I love it. The 3 cylinder is sooo smooth. Plenty of power. Tractor will absolutely NOT bog down. Wheels will break out first, or the hydraulics will simply not move it. I had huge doubts about a hydro machine based on experiences with a 10 year old Kubota from the rental yard. I am used to big machines with a shuttle transmission. I LOVE THE HYDRO! Get it, you won't be sorry. Low range for heavy loader work, Med. for lighter loader work or shuttling around, and High for roading. All seem about right, and again, plenty of power. It's very easy to use, and I would never even consider the shuttle again over this.

My dealer sold and installed the thumb. It is made by a company called Sundown. They are distributed by J.S. Woodhouse. They have a website with contact info. I suppose they could tell you who the dealers are. Says there are dealers in 13 states. JS Woodhouse - Distributors of Agricultural Implements & Forestry Equipment

I'll post some close ups soon. It is by far the heaviest duty mechanical thumb I've seen in this size range.
