I have a new implement coming in, with two hydraulic cylinders.

Should I flush / drain out the oil that comes in the cylinders, to not contaminate my Kubota hydraulic oil?

If it's new the cylinders should be clean (and are unlikely to contain oil).

If it's used, then there could be nasty watery old oil in them. You can disconnect hoses, drain the cylinders and inspect the oil.

It's brand new but has been cycle tested at the factory, so it will have some sort of hydro oil in it

I would not think there would be enough fluid to cause any issues. I would just use it.

I would (and have) for used cylinders. Haven't bothered on new cylinders. Factories should be testing with reasonably clean decent oil. I'd likely even do it on a rental impliment.

May be overkill, but a couple bucks of oil & 15 minutes of my time is worth the piece of mind. Even if dirty oil isnt actually going to cause any problems. It doesn't take much to mess up a HST tranny.

Right...I know it's overkill but I'm tempted to open the quick connect fittings and try to manually cycle the cylinders to see if I can get any foreign oil out of it. Overkill but was worth asking before I just plug and play.
