This shouldn't be a suprise to anyone but here is the new lineup:

5103: 45 engine
5203: 56 engine
5303: 64 engine
5403: 74 engine

2wd versions have a 9x3 sync.reverser where 2,5,8 gears are in-line synchronized with reverse (much the same idea as the 05 series were/are). The 4wd versions have a 9x3 sync.shuttle where all gears are synchronized. The 512 loader will fit the 2wd versions and the 522 goes on the 4wd, both loaders will be joystick controlled via a fender type mounted joystick (like the current 05's). A machines will come standard with a single rear valve. They look just like the current '03 series except the whole chasis is painted green just like the big ag tractors. The pricing is going to be more aggresive too...just thought you guys might like to know.

thanks for the info! sounds like they made some changes for the better, will deffinatley be interested to see. did they back the hp down on the 5103 some(was 50 now is 45)? i had heard the Euro style fenders werent selling so well here, so i was curious as to why the pulled the 05 series and stuck with the 03 series. will dealers be getting shipments soon? what about pictures we can view online?

Thanks and very interesting. The 4wd versions sound like rebadged 5105's. Are they being made in India, the US, or somewhere else?

Yeah they decreased the hp on the 5103, just to spread the hp margin better along the line. The 4wd take the place of the 5105 & 5205 but aren't in any way linked. They do still have the square top fenders. The build spec on the dealer site doesn't say anything about India, it says Augusta GA...but I find it hard to believe they switched manufacturing to Augusta, guess we will hear more on this as things develop.

Any changes coming for the 5025 series any time soon? At some point I think the offroad emission requirements will follow with the same technology as the onroad diesels, egr, particulant filters, etc.

I would like to buy one before that happens. the 5003 series just keeps getting better and making it harder to justify the 25 series on a $ comparison. I like the bells and whistles of the 25 series, but it gets to a needs vs wants and several thousand dollars.

Any idea on price? I have a 5103 with 60 hours on it that keeps getting stuck in the mud. Maybe looking to trade up to 4WD.

I talked to my local dealer and he's going to check in about a new 5103 4WD. He said that they can already order them. I'll let you guys know what pricing I get.

you'll be taking about a 5hp hit(they went from 50 to 45 hp....only 38PTOhp now) with a new 5103. you might want to get a price check on the 5203 4WD too just for the heck of it. ive been meaning to ask you some questions about your 5103, just never got around to it. ive been debating about getting that series of tractor(5103, 5203, 5303) but never got around to doing anything about it. looking at some used stuff as well. i just cant get past those skinny back tires on the 5103.

I have seen some really good deals on the 5105 MFWD model lately, including one Texas dealer that advertises on ebay. You might check that out along with the new 5103. The 5105 is one nice, simple but tough tractor, and the MFWD with decent sized R1s provides no end of traction. 47 PTO hp on the 5105.

thats what im mostly considering right now(5105 MFWD). about the best i can find around here is a little over $21,000. add a loader and it's around $25,000+/-. i think by the time i convince myself to go buy one that they'll all be gone:( i see a few really nice used ones, but i know the shipping costs would eat me alive, not to mention i wouldnt be getting a "package deal" with a loader, brush cutter, and new disc. i also need JD financing too because my bank is nuts with their intrest rates for farm equipment(18%).

Okay, I've got to come clean. I love my 5103. Right tractor, right price, and I got all of the implements I wanted/needed with it.

I've also gotten it stuck 3-4 times now. Of course, with the flooding we've had, everyone I know around here that's been trying to use their tractors has gotten stuck. 4WD or not.

Here's the kicker, the other day my wife said, "I wish you'd gotten a 4WD tractor so it wouldn't get stuck." BINGO, I'm tractor shopping again

I doubt I'll do anything, but it's worth looking into a 5105 or new 5203, just to know what it'd cost.

Chip --- upon reconsideration --- I defer to your better instincts on this matter; git that 5205 with them BIG nobbies!!!

Yes, Sir. And a 522 FEL for improved stability and traction in poor field conditions...

The 522 loader on a 5203/5303 is mighty appealing to me since the 522 is not a permanent mount like the 512. The lure of new toys!!

Chip--had talked to you before about oak wilt. (My hill country place is between Menard and London). The trees that I thought were goners last year are actually trying to come back with all the rain we have had. The ones that are in so bad shape have a bad case of that oak fungus on them. So its good to know its not wilt. And the grass looks great.

Like you, don't really think I will do anything with my 5203--its done everything I wanted at right price, but...................

Went and talked to my dealer yesterday. He had a 5105 on the lot, but no loader on it. He said ballpark $5-$7k to make it like my 5103 and trade up. Just can't justify it right now. Too many other bills to pay.

Also had a 4320 sitting there w/ loader and PowerReverser, man I was drooling. I will say that it didn't look as tough as my 5103, though. Much cuter.

Anyone wanting to jump on the current 5103 deals better hurry. We have 21 stores and out of them already. They have been a very solid and reliable tractor and when Deere ran incentives they sold fast. We can order sold units of newer models now from what I am hearing. I sell yellow equipment so I am out of the loop on details.

This is why I want 4WD now.

I am spoiled by starting with 4wd. I have driven through foot deep clay mud without getting stuck. Wasn't a smart thing to do, but I got out without any problems!
