I just wanted to say thanks to all on this board. After much reading and shopping I made my decision. I got a new 4310 with the 12x12 ePowerReverser,R4 tires, a 430 FEL, and a Woods 72" rear discharge finishing mower. Delivered to the house yesterday for $19,700. Man, this machine is mighty fine!! I'm glad I went green!!

Wait till you get the hat - I just got one today(owners edition!!!). Getting a Deere is a good move, and so far I've never regretted it. Good Luck and enjoy!

I'm already glad I got the 4WD. Just doing a little driveway maintenance with the new FEL and I needed it!!

And here's one with the FEL removed for mowing....

So thats what grass looks like - Here in CT I've got nothing but mushy goo in my front yard... rain rain and you guessed it - Snow predicted for Monday. Man I can't wait to see the sun again.

Good Luck with that tractor. Wish we were neighbors... we could swap implements. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

very nice machine --wish you a lot of luck with it

did you consider the 4210--i have a 755 with 72 rm and need something a little more hp-either a 4115 or 4210--the 755 and 4115 weigh the same w 4 hp more the 4210 has 8hp more but weighs 1000lbs more --don;t want the add'l weight to consume the add'l hp

thanks
anythoughts

Hey RaT,

I never thought "load" was an odd name.

Not sure about RaT. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My handle comes from my work. C-130 Loadmaster, USAF.

The War Dept. seems to be confiscating my new toy.

Load welcome to Club 4310. And not only are you a member of this highly respected organization you are part of a very small sub-culture of Club 4310, yes you guessed it, The ePowrReverser Club of America. I was beginning to think I was the only member.

Well that explains it! Kudos to you for the job you do or did. Enjoy your tractor, it will be a real asset. The pictures you have taken are great, thanks. Rat (from the German name Ratermann)

loud,

I saw your earlier post where you called the 4210 underpowered for it's size in comparison to the 4115. In the year I've had my 4210 I have only used full throttle one time, to drag a 3000 lb. slab of reinforced concrete. I will concur that the 4115 has a better power to weight ratio and if you are going to use a tractor for mowing purposes I'd go with the 4115, but if you do a lot of loader work the medium frame 4210/4310 will be better. One of the reasons I upsized my JD from a 4115 was because I wanted a tractor strong enough to move our 6000 lb. travel trailer around the property and move heavy logs and rocks without breaking something. As 90 % of my operating hours are mowing time I chose the 4210 as a compromise between the 4115/4310, for me it's ideal. Just my opinion....

Sorry JDgreen227, but you got the wrong guy. I'm not loud, I'm load . I have no opinion one way or the other between the 4210 and the 4115. I bought the 4310 because it seemed it would suit my needs, it was at a great dealer in stock, and I felt like I was getting a decent deal. As for throttle settings, it's been my experience when running hydraulics, it's best to run the throttle at higher speed to run the hydraulic pump at it's optimal RPM. I use the transmission to set my speed and tend to keep the throttle up. Thanks for your reply and I hope you enjoy your green as much as I do mine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Brent, you're not the only one. I also have the reverser. I think it's great. I don't knock anyone for having a hydro but I'm very happy with the reverser.

Load, congrats on the new machine. I love mine and I hope that you are just as happy with yours.

Bob
