New 3038e

This is a great site! I've been lurking for a couple months - trying to find out everything I could to make a good purchase decision. Finally pulled the trigger on a new JD 3038e. I've got 3+ acres & need to do landscaping, tilling, & snow removal. I looked at all of the 2000 series & almost bought a 2320, but decided to go with the bigger 3038e instead. I've been using my dad's restored Ford 861 powermaster for the last year & thought the 3038e would be a nice replacement. I've got a JD Z445 for mowing (great mower), so I was really just needing a good utility tractor. Although not as many bells & whistles as the "20" series tractors, the 3038 looks like a pretty good value - 37HP, loader, hydro, decent lift capacity, large bucket size - all for around $17,000. Should be delivered in a couple weeks. I'll check back in with photos & more info when I get it.

Congrats on the new purchase.....and Welcome to TBN. Heard lots of good comment on that model. We will be watching for a performance report after you get some hours on that new tractor.
