Well when the ford 861 went to leaking coolant, I decided it was finally time to get the john deere i had my eye on. Since several others before me have purchased one, at least I can get the inside scoop before something goes wrong, Hopefully!!! Not saying I won't do something stupid because I am quite capable of that, but with a level head and proper maintenance, I don't see way this tractor won't last me for as long as I need it to.
The deal was rear tires loaded, draw bar, cruise, and a 7' rear blade.. The dealership forgot and sent out a 6' blade so I said what's wrong with this picture? So I got the 7' for the price of the 6'.

I think the 3038 is an ideal economy tractor, it is large enough to get some work done with out a high price. Hope you get many years use out of it. Enjoy your new tractor.

It was a mixture, lol. I was teasing him for havin one, but do know that they have a lot of problems. But he does have a nice truck, and as he said, they can be nice if taken care of.
