New 3016 owner

I am finally ordering my new Mahindra tomorrow!

Took some time and effort to find the right tractor, but I think the effort will be worth it. I think the 3016 shuttle will be ideal for my small place of 4 acres.

Was looking at the new Max line, but the 3016 is cheaper and looks like it has better specs for my use. I plan on fencing the property, growing some vegetables and a few animals. I can't wait to get started! The dealer is packaging some implements so I can begin when it is delivered.

Do I need to run the engine for an hour or for five hours? The manual is a little unclear and states 1 hour but then lists 5 hours also.

Congrats on the purchase!! When my 3215 was new I just took it easy for the first hour and then went brush hogging. That was five years ago and around 400 hours ago.

Do you love it? I have a 3616 hst w/loader, backhoe and auger coming tomorrow. Any advice would be most appreciated, I have never owned or operated one prior to this. Thank goodness for this forum at least I was able to get started in the right direction!

Read the manual and then read it again. Follow ALL maintenance and safty requirements. Use but don't abuse, and last but not least ENJOY, your new tractor it is a great tool. I love my 3316, it has never let me down. Jim

Thank you so much ! I will post pics after I read & re-read the manual. As far as the bucket list , not quite done , I had to prioritize ..over 70 post holes beat out the brush hog at least for now. Big thank you to all at the forum for the knowledge , enthusiasm prior to starting this mission ! I can't wait to start all the "work".(None of it ever would have been thought of without the help of new "beast".

When I got my tractor a month or so ago I was wondering what the heck they wanted for break in as well. The dealer said go easy the first 5 hours and keep it around 2k in rpm, after five he said it was fine to rev it up to the max rpm but still to go easy. At ten operate normally.

Keep your eye out on Craigslist for a used bush hog and other implements you would like. I bought a couple new implements with my tractor but all the rest have come via CL. So long as you have a small 4x8 trailer or a Uhaul trailer it is pretty easy. Most folks selling implements have a tractor on site to demo and load the things.
