New 2720 Finally Arrives!

Well, my new 2720 was finally delivered today (well, yesterday since I'm posting this early Sunday morning)! Sadly, I didn't get to use it at all today due to the rain we received all day today. Probably won't even get to use it tomorrow because the grass will be too wet to cut and I don't want to get it all muddy already! I did show it off a bit, and spent part of the day reading the manual.

I will miss my baby orange Kubota BX2200 (my 4 year old actually cried when they hauled it off), but hopefully this new JD will treat me right for many years to come!

Nice looking tractor. I really love both the 2520 and 2720 tractors. You're going to really enjoy it, and I'm sure the 4 year old will learn to love the green tractor.

Yeah, I thought it was a little odd the way they tied it down, but they also had a winch hooked on it as well.

I hadn't even noticed the way they tied it down. That's pretty funny, and also a little disconcerting. Still a nice set-up, and it made it safe. That's all that really matters I guess.

Yes, waiting for the grass to dry is killing me! Hopefully tomorrow evening I can cut some grass. Haven't been this stoked to cut grass since I got my Kubota nearly 10 years ago!

Congrats nice looking setup. I picked my 2520 up on Friday. Spent a couple hours Sat morning waxing everything. I will post pics later. I bought a JD toy tractor for our 18 month old boy. He wanted nothing to do with it. Only wanted to be up on the big tractor. The wife took 150 pics so I'm sure I will have one or two good ones to post.


Have fun mowing with it. We just had the last of the snow melt off last week. So mowing is a couple weeks out for me. I did run the mower to mulch up the pile of leaves that got stuck in the snow fence. Very dusty tractor after that. Took air compressor to it clean agian. Gotta love a good waxed surface.

Congrats on your new ride as well! How did the wax do on the plastic? I was wondering about that, but the owner's manual says it is OK, so I may have to give it a go.

I used Turtle wax super hard shell car wax. The JD isn't like the kubota that you need to steer clear of the black plastic. Shines up real nice. The back of the seat was had a gray tint to it. The wax brought it back to life. The hood is the best part wow what a shine.

I use Turtle wax as well and it works fine, just like an auto. Been waxing my deeres for years.
