Thanks. It finally arrived. I was ready to cancel because it was taking so long. Your brace looks nice. Did you bolt one side and weld the other. Hard to tell. I don't weld so I was just going to bolt a 9" x 10" 1/4" steel plate under the floor mat. I think that would do the trick. I was also thinking of getting another step and modding it to make one bigger step.
It's bolted on both ends. The portion you see in the pic is the top of the brace mounted / bolted to the factory "framework" that is under the floorboard. There was an existing tab with a hole in it.... like it was there for a brace..... The step has holes in it already for traction, so I just bolted though using one of them.
