New 2310!

I've been browsing this forum for a couple of years now, hoping the right opportunity would come that I could purchase a new GC2310. Well, it finally did and yesterday I picked up a new 2310. I've learned alot from many of you about many topics. I plan to continue doing this and now that I'll be getting some personal experiences, maybe I'll feel I can contribute some. Thanks to all of you and wish me luck with my new tractor!

rpm speed may be a little bit of a factor in finish quality but 9 times out of 10 people just mow at to fast of a speed to get a clean cut. I now mow in low gear to help slow myself down and what a difference it makes.

That is the shaft speed only. I am sure that they are geared different at the mower end. Does anyone know what the blade tip speed is on either of these units at the rated RPM?

Why the 54?
A 60 will trim closer to ditches and banks and shorten mowing time.

If you like 2500 better than 2000 why not buy the 2500?

I agree with JerryG, I think you need to look at blade tip speed for each mower. One tractor's mower/spindle setup @ 2,000 rpm may actually spin the blades faster than the others' 2,500 rpm.

I think the cut is fine. My only problem is the height adjustment is metric....

Blade tip speed on a 2325 mower is 15856 ft/min. Does anyone know the competition?
