When you go looking at vehicles, pay attention to how long it has sat on the lot. Depending how the dealer finances it's stock, they may be more willing to deal more on the vehicles that have sat there longer. Some of these dealers (some going out of business) have vehicles sitting for 250-350+ days.

Randy Marion Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Wilkesboro had almost 4000 unsold trucks in August, while the lawsuit goes on would think they would be really dealing on all these trucks.

Now, that's not really fair.

Had a 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9L, extended cab, 2wd; 18 mpg on hwy was pretty solid, less if a lot of town; what, 165 hp?
Edit: 175hp

Had 1995 Dodgw Dakota, 2.5L, manual, 2wd, reg cab, short bed; probably close to 16 mpg; maybe 125 hp?
Edit: 99hp

2019 Ram 5.7L, hemi, crew, long bed, 19 mpg; 390hp

2003 Toyota Highlander, 2wd, 3.3? 3.5? small V6, 18 mpg, probably sub 200 hp
Edit: 220hp

2021 Ford Explorer, 4wd/awd (it's that weird driving modes, say 4wd, but acts like a awd), 2.3L, 27 mpg, 300 hp

2005 Chevy 2500HD, 6.0L, extended, short (6'8"ish) bed, 4wd, 12.0 mpg, around 305 hp, maybe 310

I never did better than 8 mpg average, on any of my pre-emissions vehicles. Granted, most had 5.7L or 7.0L motors, but the peak of efficiency, they were not.

19Hwy, 2001 RAM 2500 5.2L/318 Magnum engine. Diff 3.92:1, love the truck but it rusted to never never land.

Here's some real world mileage. I've kept track of my gas since I bought my new Hemi 5.7 '19 Ram 4-1/2 years ago, (yeah, I'm strange...so sue me LOL) . That's Imp gallons too btw. It converts to 17 miles per US gallon.
About 10% of those miles are hauling a light trailer of 3,500lbs±, I don't have a lead foot and 90% of the miles are highway

Just like life, if you don’t die from cancer, old age will get ya. I know that sounds kinda rough, but really all vehicles suffer a premature death from rust or reliability.

All over Arizona, TBN'ers are wondering what the hell you're talking about.

I remember a friend from Buffalo NY, where the road salt is so prevalent, that they replaced all their vehicles every 2-4 years back in the 1980/90's. I think the coatings have gotten a bit better since then, but still a huge problem. I get 10-12 years out of most trucks, lifespan dictated entirely by body rust.
