That's a great looking tractor! I really like the pic with the Pumpkins. That would make a great image for MF Marketing! You have a great looking farm!

Nice. I looked at the 1552 before buying my 1540. Turns out I didn't need the larger tractor.

Good luck with your new machine.

Unfortunately, not as many as I'd like. I posted elsewhere that I am recovering from surgery to repair a torn tendon in my ankle. After making it through two bouts of infection, my biggest issue at the moment is lymphatic; I retain water from the knee down and by the end of the day my leg and foot looks like a swollen sausage! This keeps me from excercising as much as I want to and at this point I still need a walking boot simply for the fact that I can't fit my foot into normal work boots yet... I have started therapy and I have seen some slight improvements already... I have a lot of work to do but it's not all seat-time; there is some work that goes along with it that is still difficult for me at the moment. Just hitching implents is a pain in my butt at the moment...

I have this swelling problem in the lower leg and have had for 35 yrs due to several gun shot wounds that tore up and out tendons, bones other structures within not to mention other problems.I suggest to you to go get fitted for a set of (jobst) brand vascular stocking. They are heavy and not like what women wear,. They are custom fitted to your leg and create equal pressure around that leg,, The jobst( most popular brand name in the business), you put on before getting out of bed. It alone, will give you a couple of hours more than you will get right now.
Go to Walmart or equivalent, get a foam pack, which is 3ft long and 1 1/2 ft across and looks like a giant egg carton. Take and old sheet or something to make a cover for this after it is folded 3 times,, Learn to sleep with this starting at knee to foot. It took me a month to get use to it.. This, gives me a couple of hours per day along side the jobst stocking, So,,, I get 4 hours a day that I didn't have with these two items,, I also,, (just started back again) going swimming every single morning, Of anything,, swimming is the best known to repair bad legs., I stand in water at my throat level, and jog two thousand steps which takes exactly 28 minutes. Then I do 40 laps. I will slowly work my way up to 50 laps. Our old home had an inground pool, This home the last 6-7 yrs does not,, I quit swimming and really paid the price, both, in excess weight gain and absolutely no exercise, the legs were so bad that I was very close to being permanently in a wheel chair,, When one has water retention, such as you do now,, don't think that this will go away in a month or two and be gone forever, an you're done with it,, You will have this the rest of your life, just by being opened and operated on. Of course check with your doctor first for verification of what I just typed here and see what they tell you.

Sounds like some good advice from Larry, DMF. My older brother has had to wear one vascular stocking for the last 5 years, started right after an operation. It took him a while to get back into regular exercise but now he can do just about anything he use to do. He told me the stocking, exercise and a strict diet helps to keep him on his feet.

BTW great looking tractor.:D congratulations.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Larry - The swelling is better. I was able to squeeze my foot into my leather work boots this weekend. I had another therapy session yesterday; had the lymphatic massage and then they wrapped it all the way up to my knee with compression bandages. This morning when I took them off my calf and ankle were almost normal size; my foot is still swollen, but better. I have another therapy session scheduled for Wednesday noon.

The therapist suggested the same stockings you mentioned, mainly because I have to fly for work next week, but he said that they would help on a daily basis as well. We just signed my daughter up (5 years old) for swimming lessons at the high school my wife and I attended, but it certainly isn't the same school we went to! They have an olympic sized pool there and they offer "free-swim" times during the weekend which we all hope to take advantage of soon!

So, to keep it on topic; I now have a little over 4 hours on the machine and I spent Sunday afternnon brush-hogging an are I plan to plant Christmas trees in. I also tried to do some work in one of the pumpkin patches but it's still too muddy; I did get the tractor dirty though! ;)
