Thinking of adding needle valve/s to get finer control of my hydraulic top link cylinder. I have one set of remotes (2 hoses with 2 QD). Do I need to add a valve on each hose or just one since I understand a needle valve restricts flow in both directions? Thanks.

The purpose of a needle valve is to restrict flow . Same amount of flow in both directions.

The purpose of a flow control valve is to restrict in one direction, and free flow in the otherdirection

This needle valve has flow in both directions.

Surplus Center - 3/8 NPT 8 GPM PRINCE WNV-600 NEEDLE VALVE

This flow control valve has restricted flow in one direction and full flow in the other direction.

Meter in or out.

Only one valve required.
