Needing a small tractor with high clearance

I have a DK55c for my heavy work, but does anyone make a garden tractor with high clearance anymore? An old Farmall Super A or 140 has about 22 inches of clearance to go over the top of crops, but on a modern tractor, the small ones are very low to the ground. My question is; does anyone make a modern version, preferably diesel, of the old style Super A?

The Kubota B3200 tractor and B3300SU tractor-loader have 14.6" ground clearance.

I suppose you could set up searches on eBay and TractorHouse for a used Farmall Super A.

Thanks for the reply, but that is not nearly enough clearance for cultivating corn, beans, or taters.

a case 265 is a high clear its 27 horse power its has a 1.3l diesel in it they were made in the late 1980s to 1991 I had a case245 for 16 years never a problem with it

I would love to find one of those, especially at a reasonable price. Truth is, I could buy all the vegetables that I will ever eat for less money than I am going to pay for a dedicated garden tractor, but it ain't about saving money. I just have to grow stuff.

Hey I would personnally look for a Farmall Super A, 130, or 140, I have a Super A and use it for the same purpose make sure you get one with all the attachments(plows, cultivators, planters, etc).

PS. I watch all your you-tube videos and i find them very entertaining keep up the good work.

I agree 100%. The best tractor for the job simply isn't made anymore. Farmall A or even a Cub with mid mount cultivators and a cole side dresser simply put is probably the best tractor ever made for cultivating next would come in the Allis Chalmers G.

The layout of the Farmalls give you clear unobstructed vision with the chisels directly below allow you keep tabs on the cultivating and steering the tractor without constantly turning your head.

Jeff: Years ago we used a Farmall 450 as our main row crop tractor, which is a high clearance tractor. You might add that one to the list of tractors to keep an eye out for.

Also, any old John Deere 3020, 4020, 3010, etc. would have plenty of clearance too. And there are more of them around, and they were built to last.

Yeah I saw that too. Their page has been mentioning the "new" company coming for quite some time, so maybe they're extinct now.

Yesterday, I found a place that has four IH 274 tractors, which is pretty much a modernized 140 with a diesel engine and three-point out back. He also has two similar offset Kubotas, and one John Deere offset. He was gone out of state and won't be back until next week, and I can get some prices then.

Yes Sir. The fellow has one of those also. He has about a dozen high-clearance offset tractors. Should be a good place to buy, if his prices are fair.
