I bought a plow made by "Snowsport" designed for use in a 2" receiver hitch. A step bumper mount hitch, flipped and mounted in the bucket means only one pin needs to be pulled to resume use of the bucket. Be glad to post more info if anyone is interested.

Why not just plow in reverse with a rear blade and use the FEL like normal?

On the rear, there's a 60" snowblower. We maintain a half-mile dirt road and that much reversing is a pain. When the snowfalls are light, this is faster and there are less chiropractic bills!!!!!

I never quite saw a setup like that before, and it looks real interesting. I would be very curious to see how it works out for you this winter.

I too prefer to plow snow with the blade in front. Mine attaches close to the front of the tractor, and quickly dismounts to exchange with the FEL whenever needed (haven't had that big snowstorm yet, but it may come).

Your set-up looks like it would put a ton of stress on the bucket at one 'point'. I sure hope it works out okay, and will be anxious to learn how it does when coming to a packed drift or the blade encounters a soft spot in the road and digs in (or a hard frozen dirt ball, and hangs up).

this particular blade is aluminum and has a large rubber strip (6"tall) at the bottom. If we have alot of snow, I will be reversing and using the rear snowblower, but 2-4 inches should be light work for this blade. I looked at beefing up the bucket at the mounting point but it is already at least 3/4 inch thick at that point.
The whole blade/mount system is about 175 lbs.

I have an old Jeep, 7 footer that I welded the mount tangs in my bucket.. Exact same thing as this only not new.. this system works awesome..

WILL BE INTERESTING to see how it works out for u, but we get a lot of snow and i like the fel for removal, may take a bit longer but i like being able to pick up snow and dump where i want. for light snow i use the back blade. this works for me but everybody has to use what they like. see attachement to see what i move with the fel.

I agree- the FEL is needed for removal around the yard. That was the inspiration for making the blade detach quickly. The rear snowblower empties the yard fast and send the snow 50+ feet...
