Check the feed tension, it might be a tad loose. If the wire stops feeding momentarily it will cause what you've described.

Gary if you think that is tough, try diagnosing someone's problem with a Mig welder via the Internet.
A lot easier when you can see it, and listen to it in person.;)

Also agreed.......You may need another trained set of eyes and ears to watch while you are welding......could be simple fix/adjustment....

Could be the gas, could be holding the tip too high, could be going too fast... might want to ask some skilled welder to watch you and figure it out.

You should have good handiness and concentration during work. You should have knowledge about the material you are using and care taken during use of it in welding. You can try flux-cored arc welding. It may work better.
