I have never owned a tractor. I just bought 60 arces north of bloomington indiana. it is 2/3 wooded and 1/3 pasture. It is hilly and some areas of the property are mud prone after rain. I need a tractor to mow the high grass of the pastures, move dirt and rock (FEL), maintain the dirt road , pull logs etc.
I feel I probably need a 4 wheel drive. This is a weekend place with a couple of months occupied int he summer. so i figure i will put 10-14 hours per weekend (friday to sunday)
