Does anyone have a pic of a 16LA loader with a HD 72" bucket with the ripper teeth bar installed? I picked one up from the dealer today (the tooth bar) and it doesn't look right. I haven't bolted it on yet, and I'd like to see what somone who got his from the dealer looks like, if you wouldn't mind terribly.

Thanks,

Steve

Mine is a 60" HD bucket, not 72", but with toothbar installed. This is the best photo I've got digitially.

Thanks for the post! Let me ask you this - the arms for the teeth have a groove cut in them to accept the lip on the bucket - on the bar I bought, the large flat bar that runs in the bucket sits about 1/2" - 3/4" above the inside surface of the bottom of the bucket, and the bottom of the cutout in the tooth support arms has about 1/4" gap between the top of the cutout and the underside of the bucket - is that your experiance with yours? Or does eveything sit flush?

Stephen, that doesn't sound quite right. It ought to fit flush. Does it by any chance fit a bit too snugly (like mine/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif). I had to cut mine in two and weld it back to shorten it a tiny bit, and should have shortened it another 1/16". It fits very tightly, so I have to use a hammer to remove or put it back (most folks don't). However, since mine is a "perfect" fit - nothing's going to move or have any slack, I decided to leave it alone.

I have a woods tooth bar on my 16LA and everything sits (sat) flush both top and bottom. I say (sat) because with the use I've given it I've gone and bent it a lil' so now there's a small gap on the top ... but probably no more than 1/4" - and that's after being a bit abused.

Bird,

No, it's definitely not to snug. I'm taking it back - It just plain doesn't fit, like it was made for a different bucket. It is far too large (the opening in the tooth arms) for the front edge of my bucket, and 2" too narrow across the width of the bucket.

Mikim,

Do you happen to know what part num,ber you ordered? Was it for the HD bucket, or the regular bucket? I am going to in all likelihood look for a woods dealer here in GA, so having a P/N would help...

Thanks,

Steve

I don't have it here at the office - dealer ordered it with the tractor - HD bucket - It'll be awhile (10 days?) before I get to the country again so you may want to ask around elsewhere - but I'll get it for you when I go if you can wait. I have the order sheet on file up there.

Stephen,

My HD bucket edge is welded on my 73" bucket... I think there's only about a half dozen manufacturers in the U.S. that make these "toothbars" {from what I'm told}...

Now if that bucket were gray and the tractor behind it blue .. it would look jus' like mine ... My toothbar fits and looks exactly like JM's Steve....'cept mine's bent jus' a lil' in the middle from a stump too big./w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif Good pic John.
Guess I gotta ask santa for a camera.

Mike,

That would be fine, because I'm a patient man now that I actually have my tractor. There are some other things that I can do while waiting. I appreciate EVERYONE's help on this!

Yep, that picture looks just like my toothbar, 'cept mine's just a 54" so I don't have quite that many teeth on it./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
