Need remote hydraulic valve primer

I am investigating adding remote hydraulics to my Ford Golden Jubilee tractor to operate a FEL that came with it.

I'm new to this and sure could use a primer on the type of hydraulic contol valves and which one would be appropriate for my set-up (one way cylinders with trip bucket).

I see there are open-center, closed-center, 3-way, 4-way, metered, power after(?or something like that!).

Can someone point me to a website that will set me straight?

Since you have a specific question about a specific tractor trying posting in the "Ford/New Holland" Owning-Operating forum, or the "Vintage Tractor" forum. I know "Soundguy" and "Jinman" are quite active in the NH forums. They both are good sources for the older Fords.

While I certainly do have a specific tractor my question is not specific to my Ford Golden Jubilee. I do appreciate your interest in guiding me to the right forum.

But, a primer on hydraulic control valves is not tractor specific. Since remote hydraulics are used to control a variety of attachments I felt this would be the proper forum.

Does anyone have a primer on remote hydraulic control valves?
