I've moved hundreds of tons of fill dirt. Some with broken concrete in it that had to be dug out of what was dumped and moved along with the dirt/smaller pieces...

Here is an example of what the tractor dealt with... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

albmn10,

Like Ron said, one of the biggest challenges to these small tractors is digging stumps. The backhoe is a great tool, but it is not really that powerful. It does not just break through roots like you would expect it might, at least not all the time.

You can dig out stumps, even big ones, but it take time. Sometimes more time than you think it will. But is certainly is much faster than the alternative of hand digging!!!! And much slower than a larger machine would do it.

You have to balance long term against the short term. Once you get the larger jobs done, a large tractor will probably have less utility. In my case I see that already, but the B2910 is not that large, so it will be my favorite tractor forever I expect. I also bought a smaller tractor though, to do smaller tasks like grass cutting and to keep the B2910 company in the shed...especially on those cold winter nights... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Henro, are you rich???? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Am I the only one who saw that house!? Beautiful place. Jeff.

Jeff,

Actually, the house is homebrew designed and built over the years by a guy that could afford to do it no other way... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

And after over 20 years it still isn't finished!

By the way, see that bright piece of plywood framed by the ROPS? That is the window I backed my backhoe through a couple years ago...still not fixed yet... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Thanks for the compliment! Probably looks better in a picture than real life... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Hello again, those are some serious pics performed by the 2910, very impressive... I have some similar tasks to be done by not quite as severe. Perhaps the bradco 509 or the new BH 75 backhoes may be a slight improvement over the 4690 backhoe for stump removal. Either way thanks to all for your input, im sure the B3030 will handle my needs. Thanks again to all for your help... Matt

Wow..You think a B series could handle a 509? That's a good size attachment even for the L series. I was wondering if my 3830 could handle one. Well...I know it can, but a B is ??? IMO.

I wish I could've been a fly on the wall while you were explaining that one to Mrs. Henro. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also hoping to see finance rates drop a bit. )</font>

Matt,
I just bought a 2710 and Kubota has 0% 2 year financing going. I forget when it ends, but it's on their web page.
