Need help with John Deere I-Match hitch

I am about pissed! Mowed 30 minutes with my brush hog and the bolt holding the drive shaft onto the shaft of the brush hog snapped off! I am about ready to load my 1026 and all my implements up and take them back to the dealer and tell him where to shove them all and get my $18K back!

Heck, they may just bring you $18K and ask for the tractor back after all of this!

I would suggest taking the time to thoroughly read all the manuals. It's not just operational/mechanical information -- it's also safety information. At the rate you're going, we're going to be calling you stumpy soon.

I have read the all the safety stuff but don't know how to fix things when they break. I am going to my JD dealer today and pick up a shear bolt and some extra's looks like this is a common problem.

I've had my cutter (as mentioned before...Land Pride...same manufacturer as yours) for 10 years and haven't had to replace a shearbolt yet (knock on wood!!).
Won't hurt to have a few spares though...

Did you see the pic of the "snapped off" PTO shaft in the other thread?

Went back and re-read, did not make first connection that was the same op. I would imagine that a disconected drive line flopping around could have shortened the shear bolt life.
