Need help getting rid of Foxtail

So I cleared 5-6 acres on the property I bought. This spring wanting something to grow besides weeds I disked it up and planted K-31 Fescue. Now all I have are a great crop of foxtail. I've read a lot about it but it seems they are hard to get rid of. Is there anything I can plant that will crowd them out?

Roundup the whole field. Next spring work it up, wait for all the seeds to sprout, and roundup it again. The third year you will have pretty clean ground to work with.
