Need 'Break-Away Kickstand' ideas for landscape rake

Well you said break-away. How about swing away? My New Holland rake has a swing away stand that sits over-center when its placed off the tractor. Can be held with a chain but not necessary. Keep it off the ground with a rubber strap.

I recommend a large foot on the ground line because a pipe or rod will soon sink into the ground at the most inop portune time.

I had the exact same problem with my first kick stand (on an ETA rake). I was used to just backing up the tractor, hooking up, lifting the 3PH and moving on... and never got out of that habit. I finally removed the ETA kick stand and now simply place a 4x4 under the front of the rake like I do all of the other equipment. Builtin kick stands do not work for me.
