Buying Advice Need Advice for tractor to support 20 acres

finish mowers are great for lawn mowing. If that's what you've got.. 12ac of lawn.. then a finish mower sounds like the ticket.

If you'v got 12 ac of pasture an stemmy weeds.. it will be extra abuse on the finish mower. The more HD models may stand up to that sort of use.. etc.

also, how fast can i go with this (mph) ???? thx

It all depends how much HP at the PTO and how tough is the stuff you are cutting.

Sounds like a 7' finishing mower to me.

MPH will affect cut look. I'd guess around 4-5 mph may be ok.. but it will really depend on your terain, and foliage, and mower cut quality and construction, blade type / condition.. etc. ( in short.. lots of variables on how fast you can cut.. )

Hi All, I'm in Indiana, closed on the home yesterday @ 9am, took tractor delivery at 12 noon! Was delivered on a tractor/trailer (40'?) only think in the truck from N.C. I though i might damage the trailer 'cause it was all the way up front w/ the loader down. but i went in range I/Turtle

It was like mission imposible -- i had to make it out of the trailer b4 the diesel exhaust sends me to see my maker

I only played around for like 10 minutes because i don't take possession of the home until Monday. So i'll play around a lot more then! I also wanted to read the operators manual b4 I do anything incorrect (like change from I to II speed while moving... ) I did it, but that's why i'm reading the manul now

Hope to post some pictures, won't be pretty 'cause everything like dead for the fall -- trees have no leaves, some weeds are all brown, etc.. Until next week... -Tim

Don't worry about pictures. Your place will just look like everyone else's when they first got it. Mine looked like an overgrown jungle.

Never wrenched on a diesel before though! Im told I have a fox den in my woods... Should i dig it up to chase 'em elsewhere? I wanted guinea hens not fox food when i finally relocate...
